TORONTO — The stars came out Sunday for the 23rd Elton John AIDS Foundation Academy Awards Viewing Party — including a number of Canadians.

The bash, hosted by the 67-year-old singer and his Toronto-born husband David Furnish, brought out Eric McCormack, Mike Myers, Nina Dobrev, Jessica Lowndes, Jennifer Tilly, Katheryn Winnick, Robbie Amell and Nolan Gerard Funk.

Myers, who donated $25,000, went to high school with Furnish.

“I first came to this party 22 years ago,” he told a reporter. “It was the first Oscar party I ever went to. I thought, ‘I don’t know anybody. I’m an idiot, I’m from Toronto. How did I get here?'”
