HALIFAX – Police said a medical incident is to blame for a fatal car accident in Beaver Bank Wednesday night.
A 72-year old man suddenly veered his car over the centre line of the road and into the path of an oncoming pick-up truck.
The incident happened at approximately 5:30 p.m. on Beaver Bank Road between Grove and Mayflower Avenues.
The elderly man was rushed to hospital but was pronounced dead upon arrival.
His female passenger was also taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The occupants of the pickup truck were not injured.
RCMP say the incident remains under investigation.
