A 20-month-old boy is in hospital after overdosing on marijuana.
Swift Current RCMP was called to the hospital to investigate after doctors started to treat the boy. RCMP say he was unconscious and unresponsive to medical care.
The boy survived, but was kept in intensive care for two days.
The toxicology report indicated a high level of marijuana in the boy’s blood.
The RCMP investigation revealed the toddler’s father made pot cookies, and the boy had access to them and overdosed which caused severe seizures.
