TORONTO – Toronto Mayor John Tory will be in Ottawa today to discuss the city’s transit, infrastructure and housing needs with federal party leaders.

Tory is scheduled to meet with NDP leader Thomas Mulcair, Liberal leader Justin Trudeau and Minister of Transportation Lisa Raitt.

The mayor already had a one-on-one discussion with Prime Minister Stephen Harper in December of last year.

The “productive” meeting occurred just two weeks after Tory was officially sworn into office.

Both leaders largely talked about transit and infrastructure.

The mayor has made it a goal to push for federal and provincial funding for his 22-stop SmartTrack rail plan.
