UPDATED: At least one injured in Kelowna crash

KELOWNA – At least one person has been taken to hospital after a two-vehicle crash in Kelowna. It happened shortly after 2 p.m. on the corner of Springfield and Cooper Roads. RCMP say a female driver, in her thirties, was removed from her vehicle with the help of the Kelowna Fire Department. The woman was taken away from the scene in an ambulance. No word on the extent of her injuries. She was driving a small compact car. RCMP say it appears the woman was stopped at a red light when a Ford F-150 truck – which was going west on Springfield – veered into her vehicle. The reason for the collision is unknown but RCMP say it does not appear that alcohol was a factor in the crash. There were no other occupants in either vehicle. The driver of the Ford truck walked away with minor injuries.
