BARRIE, Ont. – Police in Barrie have made an arrest in a homicide investigation following the death of a 55-year-old on Sunday.
Police say they received a 911 call just before 11 p.m. Sunday about two people being stabbed.
Officers and paramedics arrived at a home to find an unresponsive 55-year-old man with multiple stab wounds to the chest. They also found a 32-year-old woman with stab wounds to her right arm.
Both were taken to a local hospital where the man was pronounced dead. The woman was treated and released.
Police arrested a 29-year-old man on Monday morning in relation with the death of the 55-year-old.
Police say their investigation is ongoing.
