WINNIPEG – Monday is Louis Riel Day in Manitoba. Here is a list of what’s open and what’s closed on Feb. 16:
– Shopping malls are open, except for Cityplace.
– The Forks Market is open during regular hours.
– Most liquor marts are open until until 6 p.m.
– Assiniboine Park Zoo is open on a regular schedule.
– The Winnipeg Art Gallery is open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
– Recycling, garbage and yard waste will be collected as normally scheduled for anyone with Monday as a collection day.
– All Winnipeg Transit routes are operating on a Sunday schedule.
– All leisure centres are closed.
– All City of Winnipeg indoor swimming pools are closed except for the Pan Am Pool and Fitness Complex.
– All Winnipeg public libraries are closed.
– The Animal Services Agency are closed.
– Cemetery grounds at Brookside, St. Vital and Transcona Cemeteries are open for visitation.
– The Winnipeg Parking Authority is closed.
– Many federal government offices are open, including the passport office.
