WINNIPEG — The anchor of Global National and award winning journalist Dawna Friesen was in Winnipeg Thursday evening.
The Executive Director of Global’s flagship national newscast was the keynote speaker at the Alzheimer Society’s 2015 Gala “A Night to Remember in Brazil” held at the Convention Centre.

In 2014 Friesen revealed that both her parents lived with dementia. A series of reports last fall on Global National raised awareness of the disease.
Dawna Friesen will be on Global Winnipeg’s Morning News at 8:40 a.m on Friday.
