MONTREAL – A 55-year-old woman died after being struck by a bus on the corner of Saint-Denis and Bellechasse streets on Thursday.
According to police, the bus was heading eastbound and hit the pedestrian while turning left on St. Denis.
“We were able to move her with the help of Urgences-Santé,” said Louis Theroux, a spokesperson for the Montreal police.
She was rushed to hospital in serious condition and died shortly before 7 p.m.

Police are still investigating the cause of the incident.
