A bicycle commuter from Aberdeen, Scotland posted a video from his helmet cam last Thursday that is quickly gaining attention online.
In the video, the cyclist spots a driver in a large SUV looking down at his phone and decides to catch up with him at a red light to remind the driver to drive without distractions.
When he pulls up to the SUV the multitasking driver can be seen with an open laptop to his side and headphones in both ears.
WATCH: It’s been 5 years, have distracted driving laws worked?
Distracted driving is a leading cause of accidents and fatalities on the road, and it appears the man behind Aberdeen Cycle Cam is on a mission to make the roads safer.
Earlier this year, a report from the Canadian Automobile Association showed that 90 per cent of Canadians believe that texting and driving is socially unacceptable.
The toughest penalty for distracted driving in Canada is in Ontario, with a maximum fine of $1,000 and three demerit points.
