BRAMPTON, Ont. – A Missisauga man faces a second-degree murder charge after a young woman was found dead in Brampton.

Peel Regional Police say the body of 29-year-old Shariyfa Birkett was found in a vehicle on a property on Melanie Dr. on Saturday.

Police initially said she had suffered no obvious signs of trauma, but still declared the death suspicious.
