Man dead after shooting in Ottawa’s south end

Ottawa police say they are investigating the shooting death of a male victim in the city’s south end.

There are few details but police say officers were called to a home on Forestglade Crescent on reports of someone having been shot.

Once on the scene, the officers discovered a male victim with gunshot wounds.

Paramedics attempted to save the victim’s life but police say he died of his injuries.

The death has been termed a homicide and the investigation is being led by the Ottawa police major crimes unit.

Police say no further information will be released pending notification of next of kin.
