Montreal shoppers complain Target’s discounts don’t hit the mark

POINTE-CLAIRE — Many shoppers headed out early Thursday morning to retail giant Target in Pointe-Claire hoping to find some big savings.

But some left empty handed, disappointed the deals weren’t as deep as they hoped.

“Waste of my time,” one shopper said as he stormed out.

The savings in the store ranged between 10 to 30 per cent, but analysts expect the deals to improve in the days and weeks ahead.

“NOT!!” wrote Andrew Szy on Facebook. “Only 10-30% off… ”

Anna-Maria Martineau posted: “Only deal I got was the 20% off clothes that were already on liquidation.”

“[They] jacked up the price then added the % off.. please people wake up,” added Linda Dobbs.

“There were more people there, than there was merchandise!” said June Cohen.
