The Fort Worth Police Department released dashcam footage Wednesday of a canine rescue last month.
Officers Allen Speed and Paul Garcia were driving down an interstate when they spotted the dog running down the middle of the highway.
They set up a road block and stopped traffic to try and save the pup.
One of the officers can be heard saying, “I’ve got a treat in the back,” before they get out to lure the dog towards them.

The treat seems to work as the dog follows them to their patrol car as bystanders honk and cheer for the officers’ good deed.
They named the dog Beach after the nearby street they found her wandering on.
Beach is now safe and up for adoption at the Humane Society of North Texas.
The police department tweeted this photo of the rescuing officers with Beach on Wednesday.
