The fact there’s yet another Jurassic Park movie coming to theaters is proof that Dinosaurs remain a big part of pop culture! So perfect time for an exhibit featuring our fossilized friends here in Halifax! At 7:15am we’ll be joined by The Museum of Natural History to talk about “Dinosaurs Unearthed” a new exhibit on now until May 24th! From a 25 ft animatronic T-Rex to interactive games for kids, this is must-see.
At 7:45am Milena Khazanavicius, with the Advocacy and Awareness Chapter of the Canadian Council of the Blind, stops by to tell us all about White Cane Week. It’s an annual celebration of the White Cane and Guide Dogs, held to raise awareness of the important role both play in helping those with vision loss live independent lives.
The Savour Food and Wine Festival is a huge celebration, meant to bring some warmth and good cheer to the coldest time of the year. At 8:15am we chat with Joe McGuinness, Chair of the event and owner of the Stubborn Goat and Durty Nelly’s. Plus chef Taylor Smith cooks up a special treat for us!
And at 8:45am we welcome back friend of the show and super talented musician Christine Campbell. The Halifax-based Blues rocker is having a great run having just opened for legendary Bob Seger and The Silver Bullet Band and is riding that success right into Sydney this weekend as part of the February Blues Meltdown with Charlie A’Court and friends. We’ll catch up with Christine and get blown away by another live performance.
