Okanagan forecast: wet and mild weather on deck

Weather update: Tuesday February 3rd 4:45pm

Wednesday will start off drier, however a strong southwesterly flowing atmospheric river is setting up. This type of weather pattern will tap into subtropical moisture and mild air will accompany the flow.

Expect the precip to start as wet flurries for most areas by Wednesday afternoon/evening, and as mild air pushes into our region, we will see a mix of rain and snow by Thursday. All precipitation near the valley base will be rain by Friday, and temps will be well above seasonal heading into the weekend.

Freezing levels will be rise to near 2000m by Friday.

More details coming up at 5, 6:30 and 11pm!

Wednesday’s daytime high range: 0 to 5C
