Extreme cold forces streetcars off the tracks for morning commute

TORONTO – The extreme cold weather has forced more TTC streetcars off the tracks this morning.

Buses will run in its place for the 502, 503 and 511 routes during the rush hour commute on Tuesday.

TTC head of communications Brad Ross tweeted the announcement Monday evening.

The ageing streetcars have been replaced several times this winter as a result of cold temperatures.
