A homeowner in Prince George has minor injuries and a story to tell after he defended his home with an axe against six robbers.
Police say the six suspects forced their way into a home in the 3600 block of Blackburn Road early this morning. The man inside fought his attackers with an axe, sending two of them to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
They have been arrested, while the four others remain at large. Prince George RCMP believe the incident was targeted.
“We have reason to believe that the victim may have known at least one of the offenders and that’s something we’re currently looking into,” said RCMP Cpl. Craig Douglass.
The four people who got away stole a grey Ford F-150 and a rifle from the crime scene, but police have since found the Ford. RCMP ask anyone with information about this case to contact them.
