NEAR VERNON — RCMP and Vernon Search and Rescue are sending out a warning after three people fell through the ice on Swan Lake.
“We were advised the three people fell through the ice near the middle of Swan Lake. This is very concerning as many people are still taking vehicles onto the ice,” says Vernon Search and Rescue Manager, Pete Wise. “Please keep your vehicles off the ice.”
No one was injured in the incident, but with Vernon’s Winter Carnival right around the corner and many events scheduled by Swan Lake, police are asking you to take extra caution.
