A dust cloud more than 10 metres high was filmed leaving a path of destruction in the small town of Araguapaz in the Goiás province of Brazil late this January.
Also known as a “dust devil,” the funnel was so forceful that it ripped off some street signs and roof tiles.
A local man was able to capture the dust cloud on camera, which appears to move quickly across the dusty ground.

According to meteorologists at the Department of Science and Technology of Goiás, dust clouds are a common phenomenon during dry, arid periods with high temperatures.
As soon as the cloud made its way over asphalt it lost power.
