EDMONTON — Const. Brendon Plamondon of the Fort Saskatchewan RCMP detachment, has been charged with common assault.
RCMP say the charge stems from an on-duty incident involving a woman that happened on April 2, 2014.

Plamondon has been suspended from duty with pay.
RCMP refused to provide any further details about Plamondon or the case.
The constable is scheduled to make his first court appearance on Feb. 19, 2015.
