Serial armed bank robber allegedly strikes again in Dawson Creek, B.C.

VANCOUVER – A man police believe is responsible for a series of armed bank robberies in Alberta, B.C. and Saskatchewan, may have struck again.

On Jan. 28 at 3:59 p.m., Dawson Creek RCMP say they received a hold-up alarm at one of the local financial institutions.

The man had entered the bank, produced a firearm and demanded money. No one was injured, but he did leave with an undisclosed amount of money.

The employees provided this description:

  • Caucasian male
  • 25-35 years old
  • slim build
  • facial hair/beard reddish to light brown in colour – approximately 1/2 inch in length
  • Black gloves/clothing/hoodie/shoes, wearing sunglasses, holding a weapon in his right hand,

A vehicle of interest in this investigation may be a Silver GMC Envoy.

After looking at other surveillance photos, investigators believe the same person is responsible for a string of armed robberies in two other provinces.

Police say the suspect had a weapon with him during each robbery, which he either mentioned or showed to staff.

He is considered armed and dangerous and RCMP are warning the public not to approach him.

  • Jan. 13, 2015 at 5:55 pm – financial institution in Lethbridge, Alberta.
  • Jan. 16, 2015 at 3:30 pm – financial institution in Claresholm, Alberta.
  • Jan. 21, 2015 at 5:55 pm – financial institution in Aldergrove, BC.

In each one of these, the suspect was described as:

  • Caucasian male;
  • Between 25 to 35 years old;
  • Slim build;
  • 5’6 to 6’ tall;
  • Unshaven, brown goatee/beard;
  • Seen wearing a black toque and dark sunglasses;
  • Dressed in dark clothing, and wearing gloves.
