Saanich police arrest two young men allegedly involved in Langford shooting

UPDATE: Acting on a tip, Saanich Police arrested a 22-year-old Victoria resident, who was wanted in connection with the shooting of man in Langford yesterday. Police also arrested another 21-year-old male Saanich resident who is suspected of being an accessory to the shooting after the fact. Both suspects have been taken to the detachment where they will be held for court. 

VANCOUVER – West Shore RCMP are looking to speak to anyone who may have more information about a shooting in Langford Tuesday night.

Police say they were called to a home in the 2600-block of Sooke Road at 8:30 p.m., and found a man inside, suffering from gunshot wounds. He was rushed to hospital and remains in serious condition.

The relationship between the man and the residence where he was found is unknown at this time.

Sooke Road was closed for a few hours between Happy Valley Road and Jacklin Road.

“Investigators are looking to speak anyone who may have information on this incident. Those with information are requested to contact West Shore RCMP at 250-474-2264 or Crimestoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS,” says Cpl. Kathy Rochlitz, spokesperson for the West Shore RCMP.
