KELOWNA — RCMP believe a man who robbed banks in the Okanagan and Similkameen is responsible for a recent rash of bank heists in BC, Alberta and Saskatchewan. Police are hoping to identify the suspect after eight robberies in Western Canada in the past two months. Constable Kris Clark with the Southeast District RCMP says each robbery involved a firearm and the suspect fleeing on foot with cash.

The suspect is described as a caucasian male between 25 and 35 years old with a slim build, 5’6” to 6’ tall, unshaven with a brown goatee/beard. Clark says the suspect was seen wearing a black toque and dark sunglasses; he was dressed in dark clothing and wearing gloves.
Clark says investigators don’t know which province the suspect is currently in. Police from all three provinces have joined forces to identify and apprehend the suspect. RCMP will not specify how much cash the suspect got away with.
The suspect is considered armed and dangerous and should not be approached.

- December 19, 2014 at 4:55 pm at a financial institution in High River, Alberta.
- December 23, 2014 at 4:54 pm a financial institution in Merritt, British Columbia.
- January 8, 2015 at 7:16 pm at a financial institution in Swift Current, Saskatchewan.
- January 13, 2015 at 5:55 pm a financial institution in Lethbridge, Alberta.
- January 16, 2015 at 3:30 pm at a financial institution in Claresholm, Alberta.
- January 21, 2015 at 5:55 pm at a financial institution in Aldergrove, British Columbia.
