Toronto’s extreme cold weather alert ends at noon today

TORONTO – Toronto’s Extreme Cold Weather Alert will end as of noon today.

Environment Canada says the overnight low will be -6 degrees Celsius without the wind chill.

Cold weather drop-in centres for the vulnerable and homeless will also be closed as of noon.

The city’s Medical Officer of Health issues the alerts when Environment Canada forecasts that overnight temperatures will reach -15 degrees Celsius or colder.
