A 17-year-old is in hospital this morning after a shooting in Newton.
Surrey RCMP responded just after 10 o’clock Sunday night to several reports of shots fired.
When they arrived at 73rd Avenue and 130 A Street, they found shell casings on the road and broken glass. A vehicle with shot-out windows was found nearby.
A short time later, a teenager checked himself into Surrey Memorial Hospital with multiple gunshot wounds. He is currently in serious, but stable condition and is expected to survive.
