REGINA – Regina’s Tatiana Maslany could soon be heading to a galaxy far, far away in a major Hollywood movie.
According to the entertainment publication The Hollywood Reporter, the star of the hit TV series Orphan Black is testing for the lead female character in a Star Wars spinoff.

Maslany is apparently up against Rooney Mara, who starred in the movie Girl With the Dragon Tattoo, who will be testing for the part sometime this week.
The Gareth Edwards spinoff of Star Wars is scheduled to hit theaters December 26, 2016.
Neither Disney nor Maslany’s rep had any comment regarding the screen test.
