Bring Treyson home

Lethbridge- January 5th, 2014 is a day Chad Trockstad will never forget. It was the last time he saw his then 11-month old son Treyson who he says was taken by his ex-wife following a bitter custody dispute. Trockstad says the leads to find Treyson have gone cold, despite efforts from local police and Interpol.

“It’s been really hard. We wait everyday for that phone call and that they have been found, reunited so we can bring him home.”

It’s believed Trockstad’s ex-wife may be in Mexico, or in a central American country such as Guatemala, Belize or Honduras. Police have traced her passport to Mexico in the last year.

“I got a message from her phone, I believe it was sent from her parents, saying her and Treyson had left the country indefinitely and that was all I was told. I called the police and they followed her passport down to Mexico City. She said she was going to a language school to get her closer to her dream of teaching overseas,” explained Trockstad

That was the last time Trockstad heard from his ex-wife. Robin Leanne Trockstad (nee Greenway) is now wanted by Interpol for abduction in contravention of a custody order.

“She’s proven to be hidden very well so we have changed our tactic now and we are hoping to spread more awareness.”

The Facebook page “Bring Treyson home” is also gaining momentum in southern Alberta in hopes of sparking any leads to Greenway’s whereabouts.

“My main focus is bringing Treyson home happy and healthy”.

Trockstad is expecting the birth of his second child, a sibling for Treyson, with his girlfriend at the end of the month. He says it would “mean the world” to have Treyson home again.
