MONTREAL — Wondering how to access your medical records? What if you have a complaint about your doctor? Are you legally obliged to follow a doctor’s prescription? What if you want to end your life — can you refuse treatment?
If you would like answers to these and many other questions about the Quebec health system, you can visit a free website just launched by Jean-Pierre Ménard, one of the province’s leading malpractice lawyers.
The website, VosDroitsEnSanté.com, took 15 years to build, and was funded by the Montreal-based Ménard Martin law firm.
The site features five sections that answer frequently asked questions related to how to access to medical files, facility services, consent and healthcare, mental health issues and end-of-life care.
At the moment, the website is in French but will be translated to English over time.
