EDMONTON – A 72-year-old man died in hospital Tuesday after being hit by an SUV Saturday night.
Police say the man was allegedly trying to cross 101 Street near 105 Avenue when he was hit by a Volkswagen SUV entering the intersection on a green light.

The man was treated by paramedics at the scene of the crash and then taken to hospital where he later died from his injuries.
The female driver has not been charged. Police say neither speed nor alcohol are believed to be factors in the crash.
This is Edmonton’s second pedestrian fatality of 2015. The investigation into the collision continues.
