An Australian man dressed in a Star Wars costume said in a video posted on Tuesday that his armour saved him from a venomous snake bite.

Scott Loxley, is walking around Australia dressed as a desert stormtrooper (or sandtrooper) from George Lucas’ Star Wars films to raise money for charity.

The 47 year old claimed he was attacked by a “King Brown” (or Mulga) snake near Yalboroo in the northern area of the Australian state of Queensland.

Loxley said he thought the snake was dead but as he walked past the highly venomous creature tried to sink its teeth into his shins, only to be stopped short by the plastic armour of his costume.
