A 29-year-old man has died of his injuries after being found with a stab wound on his leg in Langford yesterday.
The stabbing victim has been identified by police as Kyle Jansen.
The Vancouver Island RCMP Integrated Major Crime Unit has now taken over the investigation, which has now been ruled a homicide.
Jansen was discovered hurt Wednesday afternoon near Jacklin Road and Station Avenue.
A 29-year-old man has been arrested and is in custody but no charges have been laid yet.
Police said they have received information from witnesses that the victim may have exited a late 1990 model, dark blue SUV; which was being driven by a woman.
They’re now looking to speak to the female driver of that vehicle.
Investigators are looking to speak to anyone who may have been in the area of Jacklin Road and Station Ave around 5:15 p.m. on Wednesday and may have seen Jansen in the area or leave a vehicle.
Anyone with information is asked to contact West Shore RCMP at 250-474-2264 or Crimestoppers at 1800-222-TIPS.
