HALIFAX – One man has been arrested following a report of an assault in Halifax.
Police received a call about an assault in progress on Bentley Drive in Halifax just before 5 a.m. on Thursday.

A 45-year-old man who police believed might be in possession of a weapon was traced to an address on Old Sambro Road near the Bacchus motorcycle club.
Police arrested the man around 6 a.m. and did not find a weapon. A car at the scene was seized by police.
The man is expected in court to face charges of assault and uttering threats.
The alleged victim, a woman in her twenties, was not seriously injured.
