Man taken to Saskatoon hospital after being shot in the leg

SASKATOON – A man has been taken to hospital after being shot in the leg. Saskatoon police say it is unknown where the shooting on Wednesday morning took place.

Police became aware of the shooting around 6:15 a.m. when they were called by a homeowner in the 1200-block of Coy Avenue. The caller said a man had come to the door asking for water and they noticed his leg was injured.

Responding officers found the 20-year-old had a gunshot wound to his leg. He was taken to hospital by paramedics. There is no word on his condition.

Police officials say the shooting is not related to searches taking place at locations around Saskatoon, including the Hells Angels clubhouse.
