SALMON RIVER, N.S. – RCMP in southwestern Nova Scotia say a man is dead following a head-on collision between a car and a pickup truck on Highway 101.
The crash occurred around 10:20 p.m. Tuesday in Salmon River.
Police say a truck with two occupants collided with a mid-sized car with a lone driver.
The driver of the car, a 52-year-old man from Rossway, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The 50-year-old woman who was driving of the truck was airlifted to a Halifax hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries, while a 15-year-old boy who was a passenger wasn’t hurt.
The cause of the collision is under investigation.
