TORONTO – Officials at Khao Yai National Park in Thailand are warning visitors to be careful after a pair of wild elephants trampled cars and smashed store windows during two separate attacks in the past week.

In both cases, amateur video captured the angry elephants in action.

Breaking news from Canada and around the world sent to your email, as it happens.

On Monday, an elephant attacked a grocery store inside the park, smashing windows and flattening wooden walls.

This comes only two days after a wild elephant walked into traffic on a road inside the park, stepping on the hood of one car, smashing its windshield, and causing minor damage to another.

Park officials will not confirm whether it was the same elephant involved in the two incidents.

Amateur video captured several angles of this first incident, whereby the beast can be seen stomping on the hood of a silver car and crushing its front windshield.

Another video from inside shows the undoubtedly terrifying moment an elephant seems to take an interest in the vehicle and comes right beside it to have a look.
