Toronto style guru Joe Zee to host Canadian Arts & Fashion Awards

TORONTO – U.S.-based style guru Joe Zee is returning to his hometown of Toronto to host the Canadian Arts & Fashion Awards.

The acclaimed stylist, fashion journalist, producer and editor-in-chief of digital magazine Yahoo Style will helm the gala, which honours homegrown talent within the arts and fashion community.

Zee will also be honoured with the Vanguard Award, which recognizes Canadians who have brought international attention to the fashion industry.

The Toronto-raised Zee started his career at Allure Magazine, and served as fashion editor at W Magazine and creative director of Elle Magazine.

He has been a sought-after stylist, from print and TV campaigns to photo shoots with A-listers like Jennifer Lopez, with appearances on everything from morning shows to Gossip Girl.

Zee also helped guide struggling designers in the Sundance Channel series All on the Line.

Award-winning designer Erdem Moralioglu and supermodel Daria Werbowy are among those in the running for this year’s CAFAs.

Roots co-founders Michael Budman and Don Green have been named CAFA’s 2015 honorary co-chairs.

The CAFAs will be held at the Fairmont Royal York Hotel on Jan. 31.
