GALLERY: Snow blankets parts of B.C.

VANCOUVER – Up to 50 centimetres of snow could fall in some areas of the province during the course of the current storm, with drivers in the interior being warned to stay off the roads unless it is an emergency.

There have already been a number of multiple vehicle crashes in the Okanagan because of the snowy and slippery conditions. Many schools were also closed due to the winter weather.

More snow is expected to fall today in the Okanagan, with the possibility of ice pellets tonight. Road crews are doing what they can to keep up with the weather but say they may not be able to get to every single stretch of road.

Despite causing some problems, the snow does create some pretty scenes and we’ve collected some pictures from our viewers below:
