Female pedestrian struck and killed in Vancouver

A female pedestrian has been struck and killed in Vancouver on SW Marine Drive near Laurel Street tonight.

Police and emergency crews were called to the area at about 7:30 p.m. Paramedics attempted to revive the woman but were unsuccessful.

According to police, the driver stayed at the scene of the accident.

The Collision Investigation Unit examined the scene, closing traffic in both directions.
