CALGARY- Olds RCMP say a 29-year-old man from Leduc is dead after a collision south of Bowden that happened around 1 p.m. Friday.
RCMP say a semi trailer and a pickup truck collided on highway 2 southbound.
The driver and lone occupant of the pickup truck died at the scene after rear-ending the semi trailer.
There were no other injuries in the collision.
Road and weather conditions were poor at the time and may have been a factor in the collision.
RCMP continue to investigate but there are no charges anticipated in relation to the collision.
The name of the man that died has not been released.
Traffic in the southbound lanes of highway 2 near Olds was temporarily diverted while the accident was being investigated but reopened for full traffic flow in the early evening Friday.
