MONCTON – Codiac Regional RCMP have released a photo of the suspect who committed an armed robbery at a Caisse Populaire in Moncton on Monday.
The man seen in the photo walked into the bank on Churchill Street at 10:15 Monday morning and passed a note to the teller that said he had a weapon and wanted money.
No weapon was seen. An undisclosed amount of cash was taken. No one was hurt.
The suspect left in a cab and went to the Canadian Tire parking lot at the corner of Mountain Road and Purdy Avenue.
RCMP say the cab driver was unaware the man had just robbed a bank.
The man is described as Caucasian in his late 40’s or early 50’s with a moustache. He is short with a medium build and was wearing a red parka and toque at the time of the incident.
Anyone with information about this man or the robbery is asked to contact Codiac RCMP at 857-2400 or Crime Stoppers.
