HALIFAX – Police have charged two people following a robbery at a Dartmouth hotel.
Around 12:40 p.m. on Monday, police responded to The Coastal Inn on Windmill Road after a 50-year-old man was threatened with a hammer and had his property stolen.
The man reported the suspects were a man and woman known to him. Both fled on foot.
The victim was uninjured.
About 30 minutes later, police located the 29-year-old female suspect walking on Wyse Road. She was arrested and charged with robbery and break and enter.
A 48-year-old man was arrested in the Dartmouth area on Monday night and charged with robbery, break and enter, and assault with a weapon.
The suspects are expected to appear in Dartmouth court on Tuesday morning.
