DARTMOUTH – A 26-year-old Dartmouth man has been arrested in an overnight stabbing that sent one man to hospital.
Halifax Regional Police were called to Leaman Drive in Dartmouth just after midnight, Sunday, after a 56-year-old man had been stabbed in the lower jaw.
The victim is undergoing treatment in hospital, but his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
Police say their search for the suspect led them to a residence on Primrose Street. Officers executed a search warrant at 12:15 p.m. and arrested the suspect without incident.
The incident remains under investigation. Police say the suspect and victim know each other and this was not a random act.
