VERNON, B.C. – About 1,500 BC Hydro residences in Vernon are in the dark after a major power outage. BC Hydro says equipment failure is behind the outage, but didn’t have any further details on what exactly went wrong.

Properties from 39th Avenue north to 58th Avenue, and 32nd Street east to Ploeger Road are in the dark.
