Moncton woman missing since Dec. 21

MONCTON – RCMP are asking for the public’s help to find a Moncton woman reported missing on Christmas Eve.

RCMP say the last time someone contacted Roxy Marguerite Demerchant, 48, was on Dec. 21 at around 3 a.m.

She may have been dropped off in the Cape Tormentine, NB area, according to RCMP.

Demerchant is described as 5’5 with a medium build and shoulder-length black hair.

She may have been wearing a purple dress with a big buckle, a purple jacket and black leather shoes.

Her family told the RCMP that her disappearance is out of character and they are concerned for her well-being.

Update: The RCMP confirmed on Dec. 27 that they had found the body of Roxy Demerchant.
