TORONTO – Tomorrow is Christmas Day and at some point you may say to yourself: “Hey, I’ve spent just enough time at home with my family. I should go out.”
So what’s open on Christmas Day? Not much.
Both the Liquor Store and Beer Store are closed on Christmas Day and Boxing Day. They are both open Christmas Eve, but only until 6 p.m.
Wine Rack locations will be closed on Christmas Day.
The Eaton Centre is open until 6 p.m. on Christmas Eve. It will be closed on Christmas Day and reopen for Boxing Day sales on Friday.
Upper Canada Mall is closed on Christmas Day but will be open on New Year’s Day.
Bramalea City Centre, Dufferin Mall, Fairview Mall, The Promenade, Scarborough Town Centre and Sherway Gardens are all closed Christmas Day but will reopen on Boxing Day.
Pacific Mall is open on Christmas Day.
The Toronto Zoo is open on Christmas Day for the first time in 47 years.
Most movie theatres will also be open on Christmas Day (though you can watch The Interview on YouTube).
Government offices, including post offices, will be closed Christmas Day.
The Toronto Public Library is also closed.
Both the TTC and GO Transit will be operating on reduced holiday schedules, which are outlined on their respective websites.
Ripley’s Aquarium, however, is open and maybe on Christmas Day, you might be able to avoid the lines.
