WINNIPEG – Winnipeg Blue Bombers general manager Kyle Walters is getting a jump start on his 2016 batch of free agents re-signing national receiver Julian Feoli-Gudino to a three year contract extension.  The new deal will keep the 27-year-old in the blue and gold through the 2017 season.

“Julian became a reliable receiver for us in somewhat limited playing time this past season,” said Blue Bombers General Manager Kyle Walters in a media release.  “If you think about some of the big catches he made for us, not just the winning touchdown in Montreal, but also a huge third down catch to keep the winning drive alive in Hamilton, he has shown the ability to come through in the clutch.”

Feoli-Gudino joined the Bombers as a free agent back in January and appeared in 16 games last season, starting seven of them.  He finished the campaign with 24 catches for 210 yards and two touchdowns.

“He can return kicks, play special teams, he works hard and is a solid locker room guy for us, so we are pleased to get this done with him.” said Walters.

The Bombers have 14 players set to hit free agency on February the 10th.
