TORONTO – Good news: Transport Canada announced that Old Saint Nick successfully passed his pre-flight inspection, filed his flight plan, and is ready for take-off.

All of the presents are safely secured and Santa is ready to leave the North Pole, which is in Canada, of course.

And Santa has gone hi-tech: his sleigh is equipped with Wi-Fi and an app to manage his Naughty or Nice list. His newest gadgets include a fleet of drones that will fly out ahead and chart out the safest and most efficient route.

“On the big night, I take comfort knowing that my husband will deliver toys to all good little boys and girls safely and securely,” said Mrs. Claus. “Now that Santa can use his smartphone on board, I’ll be able to follow his journey as he posts updates to his Instagram account at each stop.”
