ALS ice bucket challenge goes wrong for man in North Battleford

NORTH BATTLEFORD, Sask. – An ALS ice bucket challenge went wrong in North Battleford, Sask. on Wednesday morning. Police say there were two problems why – no video and really cold water.

Mounties were initially called to a hotel just after 9 a.m. after complaints of a drunk and agitated man. He claimed he had been assaulted by people in one of the rooms.

After speaking to witnesses, it turned out the man wanted to take part in an ice bucket challenge. He convinced two people to dump a bucket of ice water on him.

Police say there were two problems. Nobody remembered to videotape the challenge and the water turned out to be really cold. The man become angry and was kicked out of the room.

His day became worse when a check found he was out of jail on several conditions, including no alcohol consumption. He was arrested and is facing charges of failing to comply with an undertaking.
