WATCH: 4-year-old boy gets wish to be a UPS driver for a day

TORONTO – Like any 4 -year-old boy, Carson Knight loves trucks. His favourite, though, is the UPS truck.

He loves the truck so much he even has his own mini version of the UPS uniform, including the hat and boots.

It’s no surprise that he struck up a friendship with UPS driver Ernest ‘Mr. Ernie’ Lagasca, who drops off specialty milk at Carson’s home in Colorado Springs a few times a week.

In a heartwarming video created for UPS’ #WishesDelievered campaign, Mr. Ernie surprises Carson with his very own miniature UPS truck.

Dropping his jaw in awe and delight, Carson excitedly checks out his ride. He gets strapped in, ready to deliver parcels using his homemade map of the neighbourhood and a handmade UPS clipboard.

“I’ve been driving for over 25 years,” says Mr. Ernie in the video. “There’s a lot of really neat people but nobody stands out like Carson does. He’s really special.”

The video has received over 2.5 million views in less than a month.

Earlier this year, Canadian companies Air Canada and West Jet released similarly heartwarming holiday videos that have each racked up millions of views of their own.
